Cybersecurity firm again unlocked iPhone X’s Face ID with a 3D printed mask

Last month, cyber-security firm Bkav released a video tricking the Face ID on iPhone X with a 3D printed mask. The firm is back again tricking the Face ID for the second time with even more advanced 3D mask.

The firm explains that the mask is well constructed with the help of stone powder and 2D infrared images that is taped with the mask.

In the video, the demonstrator first setup his Face ID with “Require Attention for Face ID” enabled in the settings. Then he moves the iPhone X towards the 3D printed mask and it unlocked. This is a really interesting video that you should check out right now!
